3rd Trimester!

We can't believe that I am already in to the 3rd trimester- it is amazing how time flies!

The news with the baby this week is:
The network of nerves in our baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. It may now be able to hear both my voice and Michael's as we chat with each other. The baby's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of it's lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when it is born and takes it's first gulp of air. And it's continuing to put on baby fat. The baby now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel. If we're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take two to three days.

That is it for this week!
