Gavin is 5 Months Old

We can't believe how time has flown! Gavin is now 5 months old. . . big news the past few weeks is that he learned he could blow "raspberries" so we find he is constantly entertaining himself with this, he found his feet, he rolled over (3 times in one day!) and he started solids this past week. It has been a busy month for Gavin!

Weekend in Seattle

We were lucky enough to enjoy our friends Katie & Chris' wedding in Seattle. Katie was a beautiful bride and the wedding could not have been more amazing! We really enjoyed our family time in Seattle and on Sunday morning we were fortunate enough to visit our friends Dora, Steve, their new puppy Kai, and Ali (Steve's brother who was also in Seattle for the weekend).

Fleet Week

We enjoyed a beautiful Saturday in San Francisco at Fleet Week with family and friends. Aunt Kayt & Uncle Phil joined the family in the festivities and got some much needed time with their nephew!Mom & Gavin taking a break from the festivities.

Gavin is 3 Months Old

Gavin is such a joy! He is smiling constantly and holding his head up better and better each day.

Visit with Family

We enjoyed having the McMillan Family visit this weekend (even if Cal couldn't pull of a win). Gavin was so excited to see his cousins, Aunt & Uncle (who he hadn't seen since his birth!) and, he got to spend time with Mimi & Papa since they were up for the Cal vs. USC football Game. Such a fun weekend!

Cal at Minnesota

While we were in the Midwest we couldn't resist going to the Cal vs. Minnesota football game (at Minnesota). The 3 of us had a blast cheering on the Bears to victory!

Visit to Iowa

Gavin had his first trip to Iowa to meet his Great-Grandparents, Great-Aunt, and 2nd cousin! We are so blessed to have all of the family in our lives and so happy that Gavin could meet all of them.

First Cal Game

We have season tickets to the Cal football games so we finally got to take Gavin to his first game! Mimi & Papa (Michael's parents) got to enjoy taking their first grandson to the game. . . already a Bear in the making. Gavin enjoyed the game so much that he slept through it entirely!

Mimi & Papa's Visit

The start of the Cal season is here! We get to enjoy Mimi and Papa's company for the home games. We started the season off right enjoying the great weather and some of Daddy's amazing barbeque.

Go Bears!

Gavin got all dressed up to cheer the Cal Bears on to victory last Saturday. He decided that since it was such a late starting game he wanted to cheer this one on from home with his Aunt Kayt & Uncle Phil. It's okay though. . . he will get to experience his first Cal game live next weekend!

Concert in the Park

The Pleasanton city Concert in the Park series came to a close Friday night. We enjoyed the last concert of the season with our good friend Amy and her girls (Ella & Natalie). Perfect way to wind down the summer!

Family Time at the Pool

We had some family time over the holiday weekend and enjoyed taking Gavin to his first visit to the neighborhood pool! He can't wait to actually swim in the water for a few months but he sure enjoyed the fresh air.

Gavin is 2 Months Old

Gavin is 2 months old- 25 inches long & 11 lbs 8 oz! He is in the 95th percentile for height and 50th for weight. (The doctor said that he is the length of a 4 month old!)

Gavin's First Overnight away from Home

We spent the night visiting our friends Mike and Christine in Windsor. They have a beautiful new home so it was the perfect opportunity to test out Gavin's first night away from home (and they were nice enough to patiently let the "new parents" try out the new experience). Gavin did wonderfully and we really enjoyed catching up with our friends!

Mommy & Daddy's First Date

Michael and I were lucky enough to sneak off for a dinner date while Grandma Jan watched Gavin. We decided to get all dressed up and enjoy the few hours out alone together. Of course we couldn't resist a family photo while we were dressed up. Thank you to Grandma Jan for making it possible!

All Smiles!

Gavin is smiling more every day. Somehow we managed to actually capture one of his smiles on camera!

Exciting Growth!

This week's big news with Gavin is that he is starting to reach for his toys and he has started to smile at us! The smiles are still hit or miss but they are adorable nonetheless. Gavin is also gaining weight and filling out his car seat. . .he now weighs 9 lbs 13 oz and is 24 inches long!

Gavin and I met Daddy for lunch at Santana Row next to his office in San Jose. We had a wonderful time and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful!

Gavin is 1 Month Old

We can't believe Gavin is already a month old! He did an incredible job of posing for his 1 month pictures.

Enjoying our Walks

Gavin loves walks with his Mom & Dad! We try to get out and enjoy the fresh air when it is nice outside. It has been a mild summer so we have gotten to really enjoy our walks both when I was pregnant and now that we have the 3 of us!

Kaveh's Birthday Dinner

We enjoyed dinner at Kaveh, Carrie & Sahar's house celebrating Kaveh's birthday! After dinner once Sahar went to bed, Gavin spent some time entertaining the 4 of us!

Gavin's grip is incredible. He grabs ahold of a finger and will pull himself up, closing his eyes to put all of his muscle in to it!

Gavin is growing more and more each day! This week his eyes are open more and more so he is loving the play time when he is awake and alert.
